SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT FOR HCC

A set of social media videos for Hill Coaching Company. Filmed at The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia.

Hill Coaching Company wanted a content engine, not a one‑off campaign. The brief was to create thirty distinctive videos every month that Oliver Hill’s team could publish daily across Instagram and LinkedIn. The aim was consistency and variety. We wanted a recognisable look and tone that built trust over time, with enough change in background and framing so the feed never felt repetitive.

Production

I designed a monthly cadence that favoured reliability. Each session took place at a different location — The Enterprise Centre at UEA, Erpingham House, Wensum Valley, and The Arena NR7. This kept the backdrop rotating without complicating the production.

The core setup stayed the same. A Canon C70 for a clean, cinematic image, an Aputure LED with a softbox for soft but punchy key light, and a Rode shotgun mic for clear dialogue. When movement helped, I introduced a gimbal‑mounted camera for brief walk‑and‑talks or cutaways that added rhythm.

The format prioritised clarity. I built a light interviewing and prompting framework that let Oliver respond naturally with minimal prep. Each video focused on one practical idea—an insight from coaching, a common leadership trap, or a succinct exercise. This approach kept the runtime tight and the message sharper.

Post‑production was templated so the set felt like a family. Colour, audio levels, and on‑screen titling followed a single style. End cards were kept minimal and legible on a phone. Batching edits reduced turnaround time and ensured Oliver always had a buffer of content ready to schedule.

The result

The outcome was a steady stream of work that built a habit for the audience. People returned daily, commented with follow‑up questions, and carried conversations into direct messages and meetings. The library also proved useful off‑platform, giving Oliver a bank of examples to reference with clients and a way to keep ideas moving between sessions.
