FAQs
How do you run a website project?
I begin with a conversation to understand your goals, audience, constraints and timings. From there, we agree a simple plan with clear milestones, responsibilities and a shared checklist, so everyone knows what’s next and when reviews will happen. Where it helps, I run short workshops to clarify your brand, product, values and key messages. With those foundations in place, I move through design and build in clear stages, test for performance and accessibility, and prepare for launch with light training and a careful handover. Pricing reflects the agreed scope, complexity and timeline.
Which CMS do you use?
I typically work with WordPress or Squarespace, depending on the brief. We’ll choose the platform that best fits your content, workflows and team, and keep it straightforward to update.
What assets do you need for a website build?
If you have them, a clear brief, brand assets (logo, colours, type) and core copy are a great starting point. From there, we’ll gather or create the visuals, including page imagery, product or team photography, short video where helpful, and any graphics or diagrams. If those aren’t in place yet, I can produce them in house, covering photography, video and CGI, so everything aligns with the design and feels consistent across the site. I can also help develop or refine your brand assets, messaging and core copy so words and visuals work together.
Do you handle hosting, domains and email?
Yes — I can set up or migrate your hosting and domains, and handle your email as well. If you already have a provider or IT partner, I’m happy to coordinate with them.
What about SEO after launch?
I can continue supporting you after launch, from planning content through writing and editing, to publishing updates, refining pages, staying on top of technical SEO, and offering guidance on building quality backlinks.
What files will I receive for branding and design?
You’ll receive logo files in all common formats, along with colour and type specifications and any agreed templates. For print, I supply press‑ready PDFs and can provide collectable source files on request.
Can you work with an existing brand?
Yes, I can refine and extend your existing identity, filling any gaps with the right assets and practical guidance so it all works together smoothly.
How do you price?
I price each project individually, with scope, complexity and timeline guiding the cost. Before any work begins, you’ll receive a clear proposal outlining deliverables, milestones and transparent pricing. If the brief changes, I’ll let you know promptly so we can adjust together.
