MADE BY WOODSMOKE STORIES FROM THE ROAD

In early 2025, I embarked on a three-month tour of Europe in a 20-year-old motorhome with my fiancée Kirsty and our two golden retrievers, Eddie and Herbie.

The journey coincided with one of the most challenging periods in my life. I was struggling with creative burnout and running a business that wasn't achieving my intended goals. What began as a simple quest for self-discovery evolved into something deeper—an exploration of what it means to be an artist in today's fast-paced digital world.

I found myself questioning the artist's role in a world where algorithms prioritise "junk food" content, commercial marketing demands more output for less investment, and AI threatens to make our creative skills obsolete.

I'm sharing my journey with you hoping that my experiences might resonate with your own life path. My goal is to build a community for those who feel out of sync with the world—creating a space where we all belong. I'd love to hear about your creative endeavors and the work that inspires you. Please send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself.

This place is for people who think like artists, regardless of their background. They seek meaningful experiences, value depth and intention, and often feel that our AI-driven, algorithmic world conflicts with living a rich and fulfilling life.

WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGAN…

Before reading the latest edition, why not start from the beginning?

In this first issue, Kirsty and I travel from England to the Normandy beaches in France. We left the UK during a difficult time for my business. Taking a three-month break was the last thing I wanted to do, but I soon discovered the unexpected and profound impact this journey would have.
