The Lion and Castle Bar is a new hospitality space at Norwich City Football Club.
Designed and fitted out to a very high specification, the bar provides an exclusive location for supporters to meet, socialise and watch sports matches on any one of the screens inside. In addition to European oak surfaces, black anodised fixtures and tropical hardwood cladding, a hand-drawn mural captures the history and spirit of the club, whilst a pour-your-own-pint area allows customers to bypass the traditional bar and have a go at making their own.
The project was constructed by Universal Carpentry, based in Norfolk, who have a reputation for high standards and attention to detail. MADE BY WOODSMOKE was hired to create a short film of the finished bar that captured the quality of the fit-out, as well as the care and attention put into the scheme by Simon and his team.
The project presented some unique challenges for filming. Whilst limited natural light and a dark colour scheme worked well for creating the right look and feel of the space, additional lighting and a high-end camera were required to capture the space properly.
Editing, post-production and animated titles were handled in DaVinci Resolve, with royalty-free, licensed music sourced from Epidemic Sound.
The result is a short, focused video that presents Universal Carpentry’s work clearly and credibly. It supports new business conversations and serves as a faithful record of a project delivered with care.
